Sign up for our weekly skateboard sessions on Thursdays at 4:15 pm. Classes will be held outdoors. In the event of rain, makeup sessions will be held the following Thursday Helmets are required for all participants, and skateboards are encouraged (but can be provided if students need loaners). Join our coaches for our seven-week after-school skateboard program at PS.9 playground. Sessions begin on March 20 and run weekly through May. Group session slots are limited and are for youth skaters ages six and up. Youth skateboarders of all levels are welcome to join our after-school groups. Our team of skilled coaches is experienced in coaching youth of all skill levels and tailoring our curriculum to a variety of learning styles. Whether you're new to SES or have been skateboarding with us for semesters at a time, you'll have fun participating in our group sessions. Currently, SES lessons are held outdoors. In the event of rain, lessons will be postponed for our next scheduled time slot. See below for after-school skateboarding semester dates: Thursday, March 20, 2025 Thursday, March 27, 2025 Thursday, April 3, 2025 Thursday, April 10, 2025 Thursday, April 24, 2025 Thursday, May 8, 2025 Thursday, May 15, 2025 Thursday, May 22, 2025 Thursday, May 29, 2025 During our nine-week program, parents and youth skateboarders can expect: - Stretches, group ice-breakers - Skateboard basics and fundamentals - Board anatomy - Skateboard drills and exercises - Group activities and games - Themed weeks (lessons tailored to various skate disciplines such as dancing, longboarding, commuting, etc.) - Completed all three tier levels - End-of-program skateboard tournament
